What is Covered
American Honda will repair or replace any remanufactured Automatic Transmission covered by this warranty that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
If the remanufactured Automatic Transmission was originally installed by a Honda dealer, the repair or replacement will be done with no charge for parts or labor by an authorized Honda dealer.
If the remanufactured Automatic Transmission was installed by someone other than a Honda dealer, the parts cost of repair or replacement of the transmission is covered by Honda, but installation costs are
not covered by Honda.
Parts replaced under this warranty will become the property of Honda. Honda will make the final decision whether to repair or replace the remanufactured Automatic Transmission.
What is Not Covered
Automatic Transmissions covered or replaced under the New Car Limited Warranty.
Other parts of the Automatic Transmission not included as part of the remanufactured Automatic Transmission assembly originally sold to the customer.
Remanufactured Automatic Transmission failure due to any of these conditions:
Abuse, misuse, accidental damage, or acts of God Improper installation or maintenance or lack of scheduled servicing of the automatic transmission
Unauthorized disassembly of the automatic transmission
Installation on a year or model Honda that the transmission is not designed or approved to fit
Modification of the vehicle or installation of parts or accessories not authorized by Honda
Installation of any part that is not equal to the original specification in quality of materials or workmanship
Low automatic transmission fluid (ATF) level or the use of ATF other than specified by Honda or an equivalent
Use of the vehicle in competition or racing events
Any remanufactured Automatic Transmission installed in a vehicle with an dometer that has been altered so it is impossible to determine the actual mileage.
Any claim that does not include documented proof of purchase date, installation date, and mileage on the vehicle at the time of installation.
Any remanufactured Automatic Transmission in a vehicle registered or normally driven outside the United States.
Any incidental expenses or inconveniences you may suffer due to the loss of use of your vehicle.
To Get Warranty Service
If your warranty claim is for a remanufactured Automatic Transmission installed by a Honda dealer, take the vehicle to any Honda dealer during its normal service hours.
Present the Honda dealer with this warranty statement and the repair order showing proof of purchase and the vehicle’s mileage at the time of installation.
If your vehicle can’t be driven, contact the Honda dealer nearest to where the vehicle is located for towing assistance.
If the failure is covered by this warranty, you will be reimbursed for towing charges, based on a reasonable average for the miles towed in the area, to the nearest Honda dealer.
If your warranty claim is for a remanufactured Automatic Transmission installed by a repair facility other than a Honda dealer, take the vehicle to the installing repair facility during its normal service hours.
Present the repair facility with this warranty statement and the repair order showing proof of purchase and the vehicle’s mileage at the time of installation.
The parts cost for repair or replacement of the transmission is covered by Honda, but installation costs are not covered by Honda.
American Honda recognizes that if your vehicle developed a serious problem, it could need immediate repair at a facility other than a Honda dealership.
American Honda will reimburse you for emergency repairs that meet all three of these conditions: (1) the repair would normally be covered by this warranty, (2) all Honda dealers within 50 miles of the breakdown were closed at the time, or there were no Honda dealers within 50 miles, and (3) the vehicle could not be driven, or driving it would have been unsafe or caused further damage.
Present any Honda dealer with a copy of the paid receipt and the replaced part(s).
The dealer will reimburse you for the part at current manufacturer’s suggested retail price and also reimburse you for the labor according to Honda’s recommended time allowance for the job, at a geographically appropriate labor rate.
If you are dissatisfied with the warranty service or a warranty decision from a Honda dealer, talk over your concerns with the dealership Service manager or General Manager.
In most cases, they’ll be able to resolve the problem for you.

Disclaimer of Consequential Damages and
Limitation of Implied Warranties
Honda disclaims any responsibility for loss of time, use of parts or the vehicle in which the parts are installed, transportation, or any other incidental or consequential damage.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.
The above limitations or exclusions may not apply because some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts; or they may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
